Join a Committee!

If you are looking for a way to get involved and help us out, here is your chance! We are forming committees in various areas that we need help in. Each committee member will work together as a team to complete their goals! If you are interested in joining a committee please email!

Please see below list of committees and their responsibilities!



This committee will be responsible for coming up with new fundraisers, organizing monthly events, soliciting sponsors for events and all other aspects of fundraising. 



This committee will be trained as adoption matcmakers and be familiar with our contract. This committee will be in charge of organizing adoption events, coming up with new marketing ideas for our pets, carry out home visits if necessary, and follow up on adopters after they have adopted. 


Can Program: 

This committee will be responsible for distributing cans in the county, keeping accurate records of where they are, establish regular pick up times, and record how much each can brings in so that we can place them in the best areas.



This committee will be responisble for communicating with our foster families regularly. They will be the main point of contact for our fosters, they will help with driving to appointments when neccessary, help market animals for foster, and think of ways to bring in more foster families. 



This committee will be responsible for researching new grants, writing them, and following up after grants are received. This committee will work closely with the Fundraising committee.


Capital Campaign: 

This committee will run all aspects of our capital campaign. Experience in capital campaigns and fundraising is preferred.



This committee will address volunteer concerns, run orientation once we have property, keep accurate records of volunteers and their hours, come up with new ways to increase the number of volunteers for Paws Crossed.


Major Events: 

This committee will be responsible for all major fundraising events. We will have two major events per year and one smaller event that would fall under this committee. This committee will be responsible for organizing, finding vendors/sponsors and leading the events. We plan to have a gala, a dog walk and a craft fair. 


Education/Junior volunteers:

This committee would be responsible for organizaing educational tours, seminars, speeches, working with Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, and setting up programs and activities for junior volunteers.
