Legacy Lane
The road to bring our legacy dogs home
For those new to this page, we use the term “legacies” to describe the dogs that for many, lived most of their lives in the Elmsford Animal Shelter. When the rescue in Elmsford closed its doors in September of 2015, over 30 “legacy” dogs were relocated to Middletown, NY. While these pets have their quirks, they also have the love of the Westchester community, volunteers and the staff of Paws Crossed Animal Rescue.
After 8 long months of transports in 2017, all of our Legacy Dogs returned home!!
We are overjoyed and very grateful that we were able to welcome our dogs home.
Please continue to check this page for updates on our Legacy Dogs and Program!!
Amazing and generous donations to our Legacy Program have enabled us to put in all new runs for the Legacy Dogs, and even a home-environment shed!
